Writer's picture: Above Standard PoodlesAbove Standard Poodles

Sierra's new family is in Florida, and we've decided to deliver her ourself and give our family a little get away in the process. :-) If you're between us (Tennessee) and Florida and have been eying one of our puppies or retired moms reach out now for a reduced delivery price!

As for who is available, drumroll please!

Alice/Oreo Puppies! Ready to go home Feb 10th.

Have you met these beautiful babies?! This is Alice's first litter! She is a Buttercup/Fargo daughter that we kept for our program. She has been a good mom, and I'm really excited for her puppies. Alice's brother, Barron, is Dixie's dad! And I must say we've been totally thrilled with the personalities of the puppies from the Dixie litter! So I can't wait for these guys to get a bit older so we can start getting to know them a little better! Alice is on the smaller side, about 40 ish pounds. So I expect these puppies to mature to be about 40-50 pounds full grown. There are two black girls (one is reserved), one parti girl, one black boy and one cream boy.

Pearl Pearl retired some time ago, but we've been dragging on our feet on finding her a home. She is a reserved girl who lives to give you a hug. She doesn't want noise and chaos, she wants it quiet, she wants to be right next to you, and that will be enough. She got testy at the groomer the last time they tried to trim her feet. Funny girl, she has always been fine when we do it. She hasn't been spayed yet, but she could be. Pearl does NOT appreciate the camera. Every time I moved to get a photo she moved away. She kept a wary on on me with that camera the whole time, being sure to always give the stink eye when she couldn't actually get away.

Camille

Camille also retired some time ago, but we have not been eager to say goodbye. Camille is a pretty girl, and she is more outgoing than Pearl is. She is easy to get along with, and is up for some adventure, if not too much. ;-) She is wary of new people and prefers to just stay close to her people. Camille did a great job at the groomer and was able to get her full treatment. She has been spayed and is about six years old. Camille's tail was docked to a nub, so there isn't a lot there, but it looks cute when left long as a little fluffy pom on her bum.

Dixie

It's hard to say enough about Dixie. As a program we don't have favorite puppies, however, my daughters do have favorite puppies, and right now Dixie is a favorite. She has an amazing tolerance for dress up - which I'm afraid is frequently exploited. She has a great recall - and is one of the few puppies we can trust off leash in an area that isn't fenced. She is playful and fun, but is also SO happy to snuggle up on the couch and read a book. She is trending very small. Her great grandpa was a mini poodle, and she seems to have taken most of the sizing genes from that side of the family. I doubt she will ever be much more than thirty pounds. Often a smaller poodle means a hyper poodle, but not with Dixie. She is mellow and easy going like you'd expect a standard poodle to be, just in a much smaller package. Dixie is part of our started puppy program. She would be ready to go home about a week after reservation. Here is a video of Dixie https://www.instagram.com/reel/DE8K-87SXyF/?igsh=OXAxaXQ2aWQyaG4y

Lincoln

Lincoln is a stunning black boy, with great carriage and structure. He is the son of Pearl (listed above) and Oreo. Lincoln just turned a year old. His coat feels like crushed velvet when he comes home from the groomer. Lincoln isn't laid back, but he isn't overly energetic and outgoing either. He is pretty middle of the road temperament wise. He is part of our started puppy program and would be ready to go home about two weeks after reservation. To get to know Lincoln better, check out this video:

Sullivan

Look at his photos from newborn to adult! Isn't it so fun to watch him grow up?! Sullivan is a stunning silver standard poodle from Dutchess/Oreo. He will be a year old on 1/31/25. He has a great head tilt, he is personable, and does fine in busy environments. Sullivan is just a really sweet boy, and a fine example of the standard poodle breed. Sullivan brother Simon went home to New York to a quiet condo with a retired couple, and his brother Sonny went home to California, to a noisy home with middle school aged boys! Both of his brothers have settled into their new families very well! Sullivan is part of our started puppy program and could go home a week after reservation. I've included a longer video of him so you can get to know him a bit here:

We have several more puppies that we are excited to start intensive training with, including several of Dixie's brothers, two black boys (Madison's brothers if you've been following our page), and Gilbert, a silver and white parti boy who is Sullivan's brother from another litter. If you'd like to reserve any of the pups listed, or a puppy that is currently "on deck" for training please reach out and let me know! Or if you are having trouble deciding which dog would be the right fit for your family send me a message! I'd love to help!

Lastly, I'm considering placing Copper, our dark red male. He is a really good boy who would make a great pet, or he could even potentially still sire some beautiful litters of puppies. Copper doesn't care for breeding that much, so he needs some help to ensure a pregnancy. :-D Copper has his DNA, and OFA testing done. I haven't fully decided if I'll place him or not. But if you're interested in him send me a message and we can chat. Copper is a big boy and weighs in around sixty five pounds.
